Rumney will earn the interim CEO position for at least six months as BWH attempts to gain stability and continuity in the absence of the current CEO.
Peterson appeared alongside Rumney and other BW hoteliers in Channel 4’s national television series “A British Hotel Chain” aired in 2020.
Rumney has over 30 years of hospitality experience in a hotel group and independent sector, owns and operates multiple best Western hotels, is an independent hospitality consultant and many other hotel operators in his career. I’m advised.
Rumney has also worked closely with Peterson to rebuild its business prior to the pandemic, implementing more aggressive hotel development strategies and advanced technology solutions over the past three years.
Commenting on Peterson’s departure and his new role within the BWH Hotel Group, Tim Lanney said:
“It’s been a joy to work with Rob since 2018 when his commercial insight and hospitality expertise are truly profiting our brand portfolio. When hospitality companies are still struggling, I’m proud to step in as the interim CEO of the brand and continue the incredible work that Rob and his team have done throughout the pandemic, and to provide the most support to the hotel,” Rumens says.
“Exciting before us, while maintaining the spirit of “hotelmanager for hoteliers” while coming out of the pandemic and moving into recovery mode as a more effective commercial business There are opportunities. ”
