88% say working from home during the pandemic has not had a negative impact on their mental health

A quarter of UK office workers believe that a physical return to the workplace could have a negative impact on mental health, according to a study by Ezra, a leading provider of digital coaching.

As lockdown restrictions begin to become easier, we are still uncertain about the extent to which remote working is part of everyday life.

Remote Working looks like it’s here as Google has become the latest big company to reveal its plans to create a hybrid workplace.

For the majority of 88% of people, Ezra suggests that working from home during the pandemic has not had a negative impact on their mental health. 29% even say remote working is good for mental health.

When asked about the impact of returning to work on mental health, 24% said they believe it will have a negative impact on their mental health, while 21% believe it will have a positive impact Ta.

A quarter of those surveyed said that less family time is the biggest factor affecting their mental health. For 22%, the prospect of commuting to work was their biggest concern.

“Even though lockdowns force us to have a dramatically different lifestyle, the silver lining for many is more at home along with a much better work-life balance with our loved ones. I spent time with her.”

“For some, this is about working from home actually benefits our mental health, replacing this family time with commuting and workplace pressure returning to physical workplace. It’s not surprising that this is the biggest concern.”

“But we all deal with the current landscape differently, and it’s clear that remote work isn’t going well for everyone. Certainly, we have in some way that lockdown restrictions will forever be forever. It feels like we’re putting it down, but there are no real indications of how remote working will affect us on an ongoing long-term basis.”
