Lloyds nominates and shares new CEO

Lloyd’s Banking Group (LON:LLOY) says Charlinun will join the group as the next CEO.

Current CEO Antonio Horta Osorio will resign next year to be replaced by Nun, who has been at HSBC since 2011.

Horta-Osorio said: I’m sure he’ll find his time as fulfilling, charming and charming as I did.

Commenting on his new role, Nun said: “Lloyd’s history, exceptional people, and the UK’s major position means they are uniquely placed to define the future of exceptional customer service in UK financial services.

“We look forward to building on Antonio and our team’s work and their commitment to helping the UK flourish.”

Although no new appointment date has been specified for Nunn, his current role at HSBC will have a six-month notice period.

Lloyds’ shares rose slightly at 38 points on Monday. Last year, lenders’ shares fell by half.

Robin Budenberg, president of Lloyds in January, commented on the news:

“Given his career track record, he brings world-class operational, technology and strategic expertise and is based on the strengths of his existing management team. We look forward to welcoming him to the group.”

LON:LLOY stock currently trades at 37,64 (1106GMT) at 0.91% +0.91%.
