“Bottle drinks and milkshakes are temporarily unavailable in restaurants in England, Scotland and Wales.”

It is not the first company that has been affected by supply issues that could have been caused by a shortage of truck drivers due to EU immigration regulations and COVID restrictions.

The group lobbying on behalf of the retail and transportation industries has contacted business secretary Kwasi Kwarteng to warn of the shortage of truck drivers and the potential impact on the supply chain.

They proposed to review the possibility of granting a temporary work visa to drivers from the EU.
