New Mexico has announced that it will launch a new “smart infrastructure” and a carbon-neutral energy era, along with Agile Fractal Grid and Citizenith, following the 2019 Energy Transition Act (ETA), which recognized the status of world leadership in the fight against climate change.
With the partnership between energy supplier Agile Fractal Grid (AFG) and software company Cityzenith, New Mexico will develop a new integrated power and broadband network that is expected to “change life and economy” across the state and ultimately “see profits by other energy operators, states and nations.”
The project developers welcome the possibility of creating “1,000 new businesses, 100,000 new jobs, better data links, higher infrastructure efficiency, up to six new smart cities.”
New Mexico, the US’s fifth largest state with a population of 2.35 million and a GDP of $104 billion, has announced plans to replace fossil fuels with a cleaner “smart energy” network, taking advantage of the country’s rapidly growing carbon-neutral wind and solar energy markets.
Citizens experience “smart” profits at “entertainment and hospitality venues, retail, transportation hubs, health and hospitals, security, communications, power supplies, employment and manufacturing.”
At the heart of the project is Cityzenith’s SmartWorldPro, the world’s most advanced digital twin platform. The software provides “efficient design before construction” and “continuous operation and development of new assets.”
Cityzenith CEO Michael Jansen welcomed the New Mexico announcement.
“This is a visionary project designed by SmartworldPro, which already models New Mexico’s largest city (915,000), before rolling out statewide with a decade-long program.
“SmartWorldPro can integrate with AFG’s futuristic portfolio of AI, Smart Building and other technologies, as well as “smart connectivity communities” across cities, large venues, and even states.
“While the benefits of New Mexico are easy to see, this cutting-edge technology can become global and oppose urban pollution and climate change and trillions in economic and environmental damage.”
AFG CEO John Reynolds added:
“This project is a highly efficient deployment of services for the needs of the public, commercial and industrial of the 21st century.
“Cityzenith’s SmartWorldPro means that we can provide this data-rich “smart lifestyle” to everyone in New Mexico, cities and rural areas.
“In the long term, this sustainable power, communications and lifestyle “reset” could span North America, with 10GB broadband nationwide just 10 years away.”
Last month, Cityzenith pledged its SmartWorldPro platform to help the world’s most polluted cities achieve carbon neutrality.
Janssen commented on the company’s ongoing projects towards carbon neutrality.
“The world’s top 100 most polluted cities produce 18% of the world’s urban emissions. We deal with this challenge head-on by arriving at the biggest contributors first.
As one person enjoys the benefits, the other and the government will follow their example. What works in one is useful for everyone.”
