O’Leary said it expects Ryanair to gain nearly 90% of its capacity in September and return to pre-pandemic levels in October.

The boss said 14 routes will be added over the winter, which will help create over 500 new jobs for London airport staff.

“I think we are leading the recovery not only in the UK but in Europe. We see great growth opportunities. We are coming with new aircraft deliveries that will spark this growth,” Ollary said.

“You could reach nearly 11 million people in October, but you’re up to 90% before pre-precovid. Unless there’s a disadvantageous covid development that will bring out vaccine-resistant variants, then November to February. I think we’ll go back to the pre-Covid level until. Volume.”

Ryanair shares rose 0.34% during Thursday morning session.
