Shoppers rushed back to high streets across the country as an unimportant retailer reopened their doors for the first time in more than three months.
According to analysts at Springboard, the number of people going out by 10am was more than tripled compared to the previous Monday, just 15% less than the 2019 level.
Despite snow and cold, the shopping centre reported the most significant increase in footsteps, followed by a high avenue.
Customers waited outside stores such as Primark, John Lewis and Selfridges in a queue in London’s Oxford Street early Monday.

The restrictions have been fixed since the last time the pub was open, as people no longer have to order a fair amount of food with alcoholic beverages. There is also no curfew at 10pm.
