The UK financial watchdog will ban Crispin Oddie from the sector and punish the hedge fund founder £1.8 million for “lack of integrity” in his conduct after facing allegations of sexual harassment and assault.
Odey, who founded hedge fund Odey Asset Management, challenges the Financial Conduct decision by referring him to Aupper Tribunal.
The FCA said Odi, who has been accused of multiple women of sexual misconduct over decades, “deliberately sought the OAM disciplinary process to irritate his actions in order to protect his own interests.”
The findings of the FCA decision notice are tentative.
