He demanded that he be replaced by the party leader.
“The Reform Party needs a new leader. Farage doesn’t have what it takes,” Musk wrote on his social media site X on Sunday afternoon.
The Tesla boss has previously praised Mr Farage, urging people to “vote for reform” and calling the party Britain’s “only hope”.
On Friday, Mr Musk said Sir Keir Starmer was “complicit in Britain’s rape”, noting that the current Prime Minister oversaw the Crown Prosecution Service when evidence of gang grooming emerged over the past decade. “I was doing it,” he claimed.
Earlier on Sunday, Mr Farage had refused to endorse Mr Musk’s language. “I don’t agree with all his claims,” he told the BBC.
Musk has also repeatedly called for the release of right-wing activist Tommy Robinson (real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon), who is jailed for contempt of court. Mr Farage earlier this week ruled out Mr Robinson joining the Reform Party, saying: “He is not the person we need.”
Mr Musk and Mr Farage met at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago mansion last month, during which the tech billionaire said he was considering making a large donation to the party.
Asked on Sunday whether he thought Musk’s comments about British politicians were acceptable, Mr Farage said: “The fact that Mr Musk supports me and supports reform means that, as two adults, the other person has no right to say anything. That doesn’t mean we have to agree on everything.”
She added: “But I believe in free speech. I think he’s a hero.”
After Musk’s X post, Farage quoted it and wrote: Elon is a remarkable person, but I unfortunately disagree on this one. It is my view that Tommy Robinson is not worthy of reform, and I will never sell my principles. ”
